As a fully verified user, you are able to withdraw crypto from your BTC Markets accounts to an external wallet via the web platform and our mobile app (to learn how to withdraw AUD, please see our help article: How to withdraw AUD).
If withdrawals are not available on your account, please see our help article: Withdrawal unavailable?
Withdrawing crypto via the web platform:
Before you can withdraw via the mobile app, you will need to:
- be logged into your account via the web app,
- be fully verified, and
- have an available crypto asset balance on your account.
If you have all of the above, you can proceed to withdraw crypto to an external wallet:
To withdraw funds, click "Account" and "Withdraw"
Navigate to the Crypto Withdrawals section and complete all the input fields. Please make sure you enter the correct crypto address. If you want to withdraw all your funds, you can save time by clicking the 'Withdraw All' button.
Confirm that you have entered everything correctly, and then click the 'Withdraw' button.
The address entered will be validated to confirm that it is an existing address on the blockchain. If validated, you will see a green tick on the right of the input field. If invalid, your will see an error message advising that the address is invalid and to try again.
If we are not able to confirm an address as valid or invalid, you will be advised that the address has not been validated and you should either try again by re-entering the wallet address, or proceed with caution, as invalid wallet addresses may lead to lost funds that are unrecoverable.
Withdrawing crypto via the mobile app:
Before you can withdraw via the mobile app, you will need to:
- be logged into your account via the mobile app (available on iOS and Android),
- have a fully verified BTC Markets account,
- have two-factor authentication (2FA) set up on your account, and
- have an available balance for a crypto asset on your account.

- Add the wallet address: you can type, paste or scan the wallet address that you want to send funds to.
- Make sure that you’re depositing to a wallet on the correct network. We advise the network that we’re sending from below the wallet address field.
- We will check that you’ve entered a valid address. If you enter an invalid or unsupported address type, we will advise you to review and try again, or contact support.
- If the asset that you are withdrawing uses a tag or memo (e.g. XRP, XLM or HBAR), add it into the tag/memo input field. Entering a tag or memo is optional, but if you do not enter one then you must confirm that you understand and accept the risk of doing so, before you can proceed. To learn more about tags and memos please see our help article: Destination tags, memos and references.
- Tap continue.
- Review screen: Review your withdrawal details. If correct and you’re happy to proceed, tap continue.
- Security screen:
- We will automatically send you a security code to the primary email address listed on your account. You will need to enter this in the email verification code input field. If for any reason you do not receive the code within a few minutes, please tap 'Resent code' to trigger a new email code. If you encounter reoccurring issues, please contact our support team for assistance.
- Enter your 2FA code from your authenticator app,
- Tap submit.
- Withdrawal confirmation screen:
- Once submitted, your withdrawal request is sent to us for processing, if everything looks good from our side, you will be shown a screen confirming that your request has been successfully received and is being processed.
- If there is an issue with your withdrawal request, you will be shown an error message (along with the error code). Your withdrawal request is not being processed, and you will have to start the withdrawal process again.
- The status of successful withdrawal requests can be viewed via the transfer history section.
*You can view the minimum withdrawal amount and your account limits via the withdrawal limits button. If you need higher limits, please submit a limit increase request with our team.

FAQs
Why do I have "Pending Funds"?
Your available balance may be less than expected due to pending funds. When you create an order, the money shows as pending and is entered in the order book. Pending funds are released when the order has been matched or cancelled. To cancel an order, navigate to "Buy / Sell", then "Open Orders" and then cancel the required open orders. The funds will be returned to your balance immediately so you may trade again or withdraw.
I have tried to withdraw but I get the error "Insufficient Funds"
You can only withdraw funds up to the amount of your available balance. If you are getting the error "Insufficient Funds" unexpectedly, you may have some open orders that are holding some funds. You may wish to cancel your open orders to be able to be able to withdraw those funds. To see if you have any open orders, click on "Buy / Sell" and then "Open Orders" and then you can cancel any open orders. You can view your account overview to confirm any unprocessed withdrawals or open orders (as indicated by pending funds).
Why is my crypto withdrawal pending?
First-time-user withdrawals are subject to a security check to ensure they are not fraudulent. We can see all withdrawals and they will be processed once they have been cleared by our fraud-prevention systems.
Why are my withdrawals unavailable?
