As a fully verified user, you are able to withdraw AUD from your BTC Markets accounts to an Australian bank account in your name via the web platform and our mobile app (to learn how to withdraw crypto, please see our help article: How to withdraw crypto).

Please note: If you currently hold all your assets in crypto, but wish to withdraw them in AUD, you will need to sell those assets for AUD first before you're able to withdraw to your bank account - see help article: How to Sell Crypto
Withdrawing AUD via the web platform:
Before you can withdraw via the web app, you will need to:
- be logged into your account,
- be fully verified, and
- have an available AUD balance on your account.
If you have all of the above, you can proceed to withdraw AUD to your Australian bank account:
- log in and go to the Withdraw page.
- Scroll down to the section 'AUD - Using Domestic Bank Transfer'. This facility allows you to request a withdrawal of AUD into your bank account, free of charge. Please note: This box advises the available AUD balance in your account. If you currently hold all your assets in crypto, but wish to withdraw them in AUD, you will need to sell those assets for AUD first before you're able to withdraw to your bank account - see help article: How to Sell Crypto
- If you are ready to withdraw AUD, click on the Green "Add Bank Account" link.
4. A box will pop up on the screen to allow you add your bank details.
5. Once you're bank details have been added, continue to fill in the rest of the withdrawal fields (amount and password), and when your ready, click the 'Withdraw' button.
Please note:
- You can only withdraw to a bank account in your name;
- There is a daily withdrawal limit;
- You can add or change your bank account details; and
- You cannot withdraw cryptocurrency funds direct to your bank account. They need to be sold for AUD first - see help article: How to Sell Crypto
Transfers from your BTC Markets account to your nominated bank account usually process instantly, however some banks may take 1-2 business days to credit your funds.
Withdrawing AUD via the mobile app:
Before you can withdraw via the mobile app, you will need to:
- be logged into your account via the mobile app (available on iOS and Android),
- have a fully verified BTC Markets account,
- have two-factor authentication (2FA) set up on your account,
- have an available AUD balance on your account.
If you have all of the above, you can proceed to withdraw AUD to your Australian bank account:
- Navigate to the account screen.
- Tap Withdraw.
- Asset selection screen: tap on AUD in the asset list.
- Withdrawal details screen:
- Add a bank account to send your AUD funds to. You’ll need to provide account name, BSB and account number.
- If you already have an account linked to your BTC Markets account, you can edit the details if needed,
- Enter the amount you want to withdraw (it must be equal to or more than the minimum withdrawal amount, and equal to or less than your available balance, and your remaining daily limit*),
- Add an optional withdrawal reference.
- Tap continue
- Review screen: Review your withdrawal details. If correct and you’re happy to proceed, tap continue.
- Security screen:
- we will automatically send you a security code to the primary email address listed on your account. You will need to enter this in the email verification code input field. If for any reason you do not receive the code within a few minutes, please tap 'Resent code' to trigger a new email code. If you encounter reoccurring issues, please contact our support team for assistance.
- Enter your 2FA code from your authenticator app,
- Tap submit.
- Withdrawal confirmation screen:
- Once submitted, your withdrawal request is sent to us for processing, if everything looks good from our side, you will be shown a screen confirming that your request has been successfully received and is being processed.
- If there is an issue with your withdrawal request, you will be shown an error message (along with the error code). Your withdrawal request is not being processed, and you will have to start the withdrawal process again.
- The status of successful withdrawal requests can be viewed via the transfer history section.
*You can view the minimum withdrawal amount and your account limits via the withdrawal limits button. If you need higher limits, please submit a limit increase request with our team.
